The Acadia Council on Aging, Inc. is a non-profit (IRS 501(c)(3) organization committed to supporting the senior population of Acadia Parish. The Council advocates on behalf of older adults and works to ensure they have access to essential services that promote independence and dignity.
Mission Statement:
To provide supportive activities and services that are vital to older persons and to improve their mental and physical well-being.

Our programs are designed to reach those most in need. Particularly seniors who are homebound, isolated, or lack family support. We focus on helping older adults remain safely in their homes while improving their quality of life through nutrition, social interaction, and wellness services.​

Our Services

Senior Centers
Our senior centers in Crowley, Church Point, and Rayne offer a friendly space for older adults to connect, enjoy activities, and stay engaged. Each location promotes fellowship, wellness, and community support.

Transportation Services
We provide reliable transportation for seniors to medical appointments, grocery stores, and senior centers. This service helps maintain independence and ensures access to essential needs across Acadia Parish.

Meals on Wheels
​Our Meals on Wheels program delivers hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors throughout Acadia Parish, helping them stay healthy and independent while providing a friendly check-in.

Special Events
A variety of fun, engaging events are hosted year-round to celebrate and connect with seniors. These events range from holiday gatherings to health fairs and much more.
